Purpose
This policy explains the process for parents and students (referred to as “Student/Parent”) who are enrolled in a course or program with Light Financial Education and wish to request a refund. Our aim is to make the process simple, fair, and transparent.
Scope and Eligibility
To be eligible for a refund, the Student/Parent must:
- Be successfully enrolled in a course or program offered by Light Financial Education.
- Not have completed the entire course or program.
- Submit a refund request within 10 days from the date of payment (“Payment Date”). Requests made after this period will not be eligible for a refund, even if classes have not started.
- Attend a short exit meeting with our support team to share feedback and explore possible solutions. Refunds cannot be processed if this step is skipped.
- Not have had enrollment cancelled by Light Financial Education due to misconduct or policy violations.
Loss of Refund Eligibility
Refund requests will not be accepted in the following cases:
- If the Student/Parent has transferred credits, switched courses, or changed teachers.
- If a dispute is raised directly with the payment gateway instead of following our official refund request process.
- If the request is made after 10 days of the first installment (for installment plans). Refund eligibility is tied to the date of the first payment only.
Request Process
- Submit a Written Request – Email us at support@lightfinancialeducation.com with your child’s full name, contact details, and course information.
- No Late Requests – Any request made after 10 days from the Payment Date will be rejected.
- Acknowledgement – We will confirm receipt of your request within 48 hours.
- Exit Meeting – A brief meeting with our team is required before finalizing refunds.
- Review & Processing – Once approved, refunds will be processed within 10–15 business days.
Refund Amount
- Refunds will be adjusted based on classes already attended.
- Processing charges (including bank/payment gateway charges) may be deducted.
- For installment plans, refunds are calculated from the date of the first installment only.
- Any dispute-related fees (if applicable) will be deducted from the final refund.
Refund Mode
Refunds will usually be issued through the original payment method. If that is not possible, an alternate method may be arranged upon mutual agreement.
Other Important Points
- Refunds are not provided for free credits, referral bonuses, or promotional enrollments unless stated otherwise.
- Any delays caused by banks or payment gateways are beyond our control. No interest, penalties, or compensation will be given for such delays.
- If a dispute is raised directly with the payment partner, access to classes may be paused until the dispute is resolved (which can take up to 75–80 days).
